About Companion Paws Kitchen

Companion Paws Kitchen is a free educational recipe resource from Companion Paws Canada, the country's most rigorous therapy dog certification program.

Why we built this

Through our Companion Paws programs, we've met many pet families who want to feed their dogs and cats real food but don't know where to start safely. The web is full of recipes, and full of dangerous information. We built Companion Paws Kitchen to be a place where every recipe has clear safety guidance, suggested portions, and the same care we give the therapy dogs in our program.

How recipes are reviewed

Recipes are developed by our team and reviewed against a checklist of common toxic ingredients, nutrient considerations, and life-stage suitability. Every recipe is also reviewed by a licensed Canadian veterinarian.
