Ingredients

Ingredients for Cod Cat Treats
  • 7 oz cod, skinless and boneless
  • 1 large egg

Steps

  1. Cook the cod by steaming or baking it until fully cooked and flaky. Allow it to cool slightly.
  2. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper or use a silicone treat mold.
  3. Add the cod with an egg into a container or bowl. Using a hand held blender, blend until the mixture is smooth. You could use a food processor or blender for this too.
  4. Spread the mixture into the silicone mold evenly OR scoop small portions onto the prepared baking tray, flattening slightly with the back of a spoon.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the treats are set and lightly golden.

Substitutions

  • Use haddock or pollock instead of cod.
  • Substitute the egg with two tablespoons of plain unsweetened yogurt.
  • Mix in a small amount of salmon for varied flavor.
