Ingredients

Ingredients for Baked Apple Cranberry Dog Treats
  • 1/2 cup apple sauce
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1 cup coconut flour
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200c/400F degrees and line two baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blitz until smooth.
  3. Remove and form into a dough. If the mixture is too wet, add more coconut flour.
  4. Roll out the dough in between 2 layers of parchment paper.
  5. Use cookie cutters in fun shapes like bones or hearts to cut out the treats from the dough. Place them onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a small gap between each treat.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20-25 minutes or until the treats turn golden brown and crispy. Turn them over half way through cooking.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the treats to cool completely before serving them to your dog.

Substitutions

  • Use blueberries instead of cranberries
  • Swap coconut flour for oat flour
