Ingredients

- 5 beef marrow bones (beef bones optional)
- 2 large carrotswhole, un peeled
- 2 sticks celery
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon turmericwith a pinch of black pepper
- 4 cups wateruse enough to cover ingredients
Steps
- Place the beef bones, carrots, and celery into your slow cooker.
- Add the turmeric, black pepper and apple cider vinegar.
- Fill with water until everything is covered.
- Cook on low for 24 hours.
- Remove the bones and vegetables.
- Strain out all solids and allow to cool.
- Pour into an air tight container and place in the fridge overnight.
- Remove any fat layer, then store the broth into a glass jar in the fridge for up to 5 days. It can also be frozen for later use.
- Serve as a nutritional treat.
Substitutions
- Use chicken frames instead of beef bones
- Swap celery for green beans
- Omit apple cider vinegar if preferred
