Chicken and Rice Dog Food Recipe
A gentle meal of lean chicken and white rice, supplemented with fresh vegetables. This recipe is easy on the digestive system.

Ingredients

- 2 chicken breasts, skinless & boneless
- 1/2 cup dry white rice
- 1/2 cup carrot, grated
- 1/2 cup zucchini, grated
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Steps
- Place the chicken breasts and rice in a large pot. Cover with water and bring to the boil.
- Simmer with the pan lid on for 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked tho roughly and the rice is fluffy and cooked.
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Using a couple of forks, shred the cooked chicken.
- Heat the coconut oil in a skillet on a medium-high heat and lightly saute the shredded carrot and zucchini for 5 minutes until soft.
- Mix the vegetables into the chicken and rice mixture and serve once the food is cooled.
Substitutions
- Use brown rice for higher fiber.
- Substitute zucchini with yellow squash.
- Swap chicken for white fish.
