Ingredients

- 1 cup cooked chickenunseasoned
- 1/2 cup broccoli, steamed
- 1/3 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup coconut flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup water(optional)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Ensure that the chicken is cooked and finely chopped or shredded. Steam the broccoli until soft, then chop it into small, dog-friendly pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, steamed broccoli, egg, cheddar cheese and coconut flour. Mix well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add a little water or coconut oil one tablespoon at a time, until the dough is workable.
- Scoop out small portions of the dough and roll them into balls, or flatten them into small cookie shapes. You can also use cookie cutters to create fun shapes.
- Place the treats on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Allow the treats to cool completely before serving them to your dog. Store the treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze them for longer storage.
Substitutions
- Use cooked turkey instead of chicken.
- Swap broccoli for green beans.
- Oat flour can replace coconut flour.
