Ingredients

Ingredients for Chicken Liver Dog Biscuits
  • 1/2 cup chicken livers
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 3 cups oat flour

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add the chicken livers to a food processor and pulse until smooth.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and blend into a dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more oat flour until it’s workable.
  4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch (6 mm) thickness. Use cookie cutters to create fun shapes or cut into squares with a knife.
  5. Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until firm and lightly golden.
  6. Allow the biscuits to cool completely before serving.

Substitutions

  • Swap oat flour for brown rice flour
  • Replace pumpkin with butternut squash puree
  • Use beef liver instead of chicken liver
