Ingredients
- 2 cups brown rice flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup apple sauce (unsweetened)
- 1/2 teaspoon spirulina
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and applesauce until smooth.
- Gradually add the rice flour and spirulina to the wet mixture. Stir until a firm dough forms.
- Lightly flour a clean surface with rice flour and roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thickness.
- Use a Christmas tree cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Re-roll scraps as needed.
- Place the trees on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until slightly golden and firm to the touch.
- Allow the treats to cool on a wire rack before decorating or serving.
- Add dog-safe decorations like blueberries, cranberries, or a thin smear of peanut butter for festive flair.
