  • 8 oz lean ground beef
  • 8 oz ground lamb
  • 2 oz beef liver, chopped
  • 1 oz shiitake mushrooms, chopped
  • 4 oz zucchini, grated
  • 4 oz broccoli, chopped
  • 3 oz green beans chopped
  • 2 oz cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons ground pumpkin seeds, raw
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 teaspoons ea kelp
  • 2 teaspoons ground turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Steps

  1. In a large pan, skillet or saucepan, heat the coconut oil on a medium heat.
  2. Cook the lean ground beef and lamb in a skillet until browned, breaking the meat into small pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the beef liver pieces and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Add the vegetables, berries, ground seeds and spices to the pan. Stir well, cover and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until all ingredients are cooked.
  5. Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to cool before serving to your dog.

Substitutions

  • Replace lamb with ground turkey
  • Use spinach instead of zucchini
  • Swap cranberries for blueberries
