Ingredients

Ingredients for Homemade Blueberry Dog Muffins
  • 1 banana, ripe
  • 2 medium eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup water

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F degrees.
  2. Line a muffin tin with greaseproof muffins.
  3. In a medium bowl, mash the banana.
  4. Add the eggs and applesauce and mix well.
  5. Stir in the oats and rice flour and add the water.
  6. Stir in the blueberries.
  7. Spoon the mixture into the muffin tins.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes until firm.
  9. Allow to cool before the dogs can have a muffin treat.

Substitutions

  • Replace rice flour with oat flour or whole wheat flour.
  • Use mashed pumpkin instead of applesauce if preferred.
  • Substitute blueberries with chopped strawberries or cranberries.
