- 4 oz pumpkin puree
- 7 oz oat flour
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
- 1 large egg
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Add the lamb liver to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
- In a bowl, combine the blended lamb liver, pumpkin purée, and egg. Mix well until fully combined.
- Stir in the oat flour and ground flaxseed. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Roll the dough in between parchment paper to about ¼ inch thick (a cleaner option with less sticky dough on the rolling pin).
- Use cookie cutters or a knife to cut into your desired shapes or sizes.
- Place the treats on the prepared baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until firm.
- Allow the treats to cool on a wire rack before serving.
- For a crunchier treat, turn off the oven and leave the treats inside to dry out as the oven cools.
- Serve as a treat once cool.
Substitutions
- Replace lamb liver with beef or chicken liver
- Use sweet potato puree instead of pumpkin
- Swap flaxseed with chia seeds
