Ingredients

Ingredients for Blueberry Pumpkin Dog Treats
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 cups oat flour
  • 1 large egg

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the egg. This is to be shared between the two doughs.
  3. Blend the blueberries to a puree.
  4. In one mixing bowl, add the blueberry puree, half the egg and 1/2 cup oat flour.
  5. In another mixing add the pumpkin puree, half the beaten egg and the remaining oat flour.
  6. Mix the two separate doughs. If the dough is too moist, add more oat flour.
  7. Take small portions of each dough and roll them into long, thin ropes (about ¼-inch thick and 5-6 inches long).
  8. Take one rope of each dough and gently twist them around each other to create a spiral effect. Lightly press the ends to secure the shape.
  9. Place the twisted treats on the prepared baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes until firm.
  10. Let the treats cool before serving them to your pup.

Substitutions
