Ingredients

Ingredients for Senior Dog Beef & Oat Comfort Bowl
  • 500 g lean ground beef
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup finely diced carrot
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Steps

  1. Brown the ground beef in the olive oil for 10 minutes, breaking it into fine crumbles, then drain off the fat.
  2. Simmer the carrot in the water for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the oats and cook 8 to 10 minutes more, until thick and soft.
  4. Stir the beef through the oats and cool fully before portioning.

Substitutions

  • Ground lamb instead of beef.
  • Cooked barley instead of oats.
